DEADLINES

- for abstract submission for oral presentations: 15th October 2011

- for abstract submission for poster presentations: 15th October 2011

- early bird registration closes on the 30th of September 2011.

- late registration closes on the 15th November.  Abstracts will be withdrawn from the program should delegates not register by closing date for registration. Delegates may still register until 1st December 2011, but without presentation)

Oral and poster presentations

There will be both oral and poster presentations during the Congress sessions. Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation at the time of abstract submission. The preference for oral or poster presentation specified by the authors at submission is indicative only. A final decision on whether a presentation is accepted as an oral or poster will be made by the scientific committee on the basis of the abstracts submitted.

Posters are to be A0 in size, portrait orientation, Oral presentations are 20 minutes in length with 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions

Abstracts

Please submit abstracts (max. 500 words) for oral presentations and poster abstracts, before the 15th of October.  The scientific committee will review all abstracts submitted. Should authors not register by 15th November 2011, abstracts will be withdrawn from the Programme.

Full papers for symposium proceedings

All authors of accepted oral abstracts (accepted poster presentations are optional) are requested to prepare a full paper (electronic and hard copy) for handing in at delegate Registration at the Congress venue (15 January 2012). Full papers must not exceed 8 pages including all tables, figures, and references except for invited and keynote speakers, and are to follow the Acta Horticulturae publication guidelines. We strongly recommend that authors consult the ISHS Authors Guide - Preparing a Paper for publication in Acta Horticulturae® on the ISHS website at: http://www.ishs.org/wri/pap1.htm

Publication in Acta Horticulturae

All manuscripts will be subjected to a review process, and accepted manuscripts will be published, after revision if necessary, in an issue of Acta Horticulturae. Submissions that do not meet the guidelines will be returned to authors.
